Adbrite no longer accept sites that use free blog hosting solutions like Blogspot

I was trying to add another new Adbrite Ad Zone for my blogspot blog, but noticed that the ad doesn't appear even after few weeks. And the Ad Zone statistic shows "0" impression/view too.

So decided to drop Adbrite an email to check out the reason behind this. Turns out that Adbrite no longer accept sites free blog hosting solutions. Heres the reply that I got.

Thank you for contacting adBrite!

I'm sorry but we are not able to approve this site. We have recently implemented a top-level domain requirement and can no longer accept sites that use free blog hosting solutions like Blogspot, Hpage, Tumblr, or .co.cc. If you would like to use adBrite you will need to use a paid service that provides a top-level domain.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.

Ah, I would say not a smart decision. Since most of the sites that uses Adbrite are blogs that is on these "free hosting solution" like Blogspot, Rumblr, Wordpress...

Usually (big) sites that on paid hosting provider(s) will have their own advertising system/modules. The won't even consider Adsense in the first place.

Well, hope Adbrite will review this decision, and hopefully loosen this requirement once again. Meanwhile, I'll still go with Bidvertiser, along with Adsense for my blogs.
